Using the Meth/Amphetamine Test Kit Package to Test for Amphetamine and Methamphetamine
Instructions:
Step 1) Start with the Marquis test. If your sample doesn’t yield a orange reddish color with this test, what you have is definitely neither amphetamine nor methamphetamine. No further testing is required. If your sample does turn reddish orange, proceed to step two.
Step 2) Next, test your sample with the Liebermann test. This test also produces a red color with orange for both amphetamine and methamphetamine. If you see a different color reaction, you can stop here because what you have is not meth/amphetamine. Otherwise move on to step 3.
Step 3) Finally, use the Simon’s test on your sample. It will differentiate amphetamine from methamphetamine. The reaction will yield a blue color with methamphetamine, no color change with amphetamine.
